Anna Marie Ray (she/her) is a queer poet and musician based in New York City. With a background in musical theatre performance, Anna Marie has pursued constantly evolving dreams in New York since moving here over a decade ago, which inform her work. These range from mixology and politics, with a constant focus on language justice and accessibility. Currently working for an Ambassador to the United Nations, Anna Marie is passionate about global issues as well as local happenings. Her debut poetry collection is in progress, featuring erotic and emotional pieces exploring relationships that challenge tradition.

She recently completed a workshop led by Alice James Award-winning poet Rosebud Ben-Oni while developing this collection, where she was regarded as a "lovely, vulnerable bard who as a creator has reclaimed the muse from all the men who've tortured each and every one of us at open mics."
Enjoy.
