Anna Marie Ray (she/her) is a queer poet and musician based in New York City. With a background in musical theatre performance, Anna Marie has pursued constantly evolving dreams in New York since moving here over a decade ago, which inform her work. These range from mixology to politics, with a constant focus on language justice and accessibility. Anna Marie is passionate in her work towards global issues as well as local happenings, evidenced most recently in her role of three years for an Ambassador to the United Nations. Her debut poetry collection is in progress, featuring erotic and emotional pieces exploring relationships that challenge tradition.

Anna Marie completed a workshop crafted by Alice James Award-winning poet Rosebud Ben-Oni while developing this collection, where she was regarded as a "lovely, vulnerable bard who as a creator has reclaimed the muse from all the men who've tortured each and every one of us at open mics."
Enjoy.
